We're Keepin' It Local

scratchDC has always been committed to keepin’ it local. We take that pledge very seriously because local is waaaay better. Starting today we’re partnering with two new local growers.

Starting today, Washington’s Green Grocer will be supplying some of our fresh produce! They supplied the carrots from Breezy Hill Farm in Doylesburg, PA, for today’s pad thai. We met the owner of WGG, Zeke Zechiel, at February’s Farmer-Chef Summit. He’s passionate about getting quality local produce to as many people as possible and we couldn't be more excited to be partnering up!

WGG opened in 1994 and source locally grown food (nothing is ever air-freighted), supporting sustainable agriculture in the area.

In the very near future, many of the herbs in your scratchDC meals will be brought to you by Shenandoah Growers, located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Shenandoah Growers opened over 20 years ago. They’re a leading provider of fresh herbs in the U.S. Their herbs are all organic, regionally grown, and sustainably farmed.

Together with Washington’s Green Grocer and Shenandoah Growers, scratchDC supports local farmers. With your orders you will too!
